September 7, 2018 – CDF through its USAID AKT LS Program, over the past 4 years, has been delivering grants to businesses with aspiring ideas for growth, from 16 Municipalities in Kosovo, in order for them to purchase the equipment they need to improve their services and products as well as expand their operations. By supporting startups and existing businesses, the program also promoted self-employment and income generation among youth and women. Furthermore, the program worked with diverse entrepreneurs to increase the potential for community growth and improve livelihood in minority communities which also helped in the creation of 431 new jobs.
On a ceremony held today, 120 business beneficiaries have become the official owners of all equipment purchased through the program. The event gathered over 150 guests and all participants also had the opportunity to exhibit their products and exchange contacts for future cooperation.
CDF is implementing the USAID program Advancing Kosovo Together – Local Solution since October, 2014.
