PROJECT OVERVIEW

The Overall Objective is to maintain low prevalence of HIV among general population and key populations and improve the quality of life of people affected by HIV/AIDS in Kosovo.

Specific Objectives

SO1: Reduce the impact of HIV in general population and key populations by strengthening HIV prevention interventions and improve access to services;

SO2: lmprove the health status and quality of life of people living with HIV by providing universal access to treatment, health care and other support services;

SO3: Ensure sustainable response to HIV through strengthening coordination, leadership and financial and political commitment of the Government;

SO4: Ensure sustainable response to HIV through resilient health systems strengthening interventions;

SO5: Empowerment and engagement of CSOs in HIV policy, programming, advocacy and HIV service

provision in the community through community systems strengthening (CSS).

Core Project Activities:

1. Provide comprehensive prevention programs for MSM;
2. Provide comprehensive harm reduction programs for PWID and their partners;
3. Provide comprehensive prevention programs for FSW and their clients;
4. Treatment, care and support;
5. Community responses and systems;
6. Prevention programs for general population;
7. Programs to reduce human rights-related barriers to HIV services.
