April 16, 2019 – Starting in November 2018, BRICK together with ICK has been working on the start of a new pilot project called Schoolpreneur. The idea behind this activity was to inspire students in Kacanik to become entrepreneurs and learn about entrepreneurship. Students who applied to be a part of it, identified the social and economic problems in their municipality and came up with solutions on how to deal with them. 10 finalists out of 24 were chosen for mentoring from CDF BRICK and ICK and at the end of the project, 3 ideas won the prize. The final ceremony was held at the premises of the ICK, where the students were accompanied by their parents for contract signing. The winning ideas were ‘Organic food and beverages’, ‘Full spectrum artwork shop’ and ‘Teen tech hub’. Additionaly, CDF is awarding a grant up to EUR 5000 for one of the teams, as seed-funding so that they can start their business in the Municipality of Kacanik.
