What We Do

Since its inception in November 1999 up until the end of 2023, CDF has managed a budget exceeding 70 million Euros. This funding comes from a diverse range of donor organizations, including major international development institutions such as USAID, World Bank, European Commission, Global Fund, SIDA, Global Community Empowerment and Resilience Fund, Swiss Government, Danish Government, British Government, Canadian Government, Austrian Government, Kosovo Government, RYCO, UNICEF, SOROS, and Oxfam Novib.

CDF is recognized in Kosovo for its efforts to reduce poverty and enhance living conditions across urban and rural areas, encompassing the Serbian community and returnees. This recognition is rooted in the successful implementation of projects marked by their quality and cost-effectiveness.

These projects include:

  • Improve infrastructure in underserved, conflict-affected, and mountainous areas.
  • Address immediate needs of marginalized groups in Kosovo through social initiatives.
  • Strengthen local institutions for better facilities and social services.
  • Alleviate poverty and create jobs through grants, training, and support for small businesses.
  • Provide public health services focusing on HIV and TB prevention, treatment, and care.
  • Build resilience in individuals and communities in Kosovo.
