The USAID Inclusive Economic Engagement Activity and USAID Commercial Justice Activity organized the Conference on “Legal Reforms and Commercial Justice in Kosovo: Their Role in Empowering Women and Minority-Owned Businesses.” The event focused on fostering a supportive legal environment for underrepresented entrepreneurs.
The conference featured remarks from Mr. Noel Bauer, Director of the USAID Democracy and Governance Office, and included two panel discussions with legal experts. Discussions explored the impact of legal reforms on local businesses and the role of Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) mechanisms in providing cost-effective solutions to disputes.
By addressing the intersection of legal frameworks and economic growth, the conference underscored how recent reforms are reducing barriers for women- and minority-owned businesses.
This initiative reflects USAID’s commitment to empowering entrepreneurs through enhanced legal systems, promoting inclusivity, and driving sustainable economic development in Kosovo.
