Women entrepreneurs from the Mitrovica region gathered for an advocacy and networking meeting with representatives from the Offices for Gender Equality and Economic Development and Tourism in the Municipalities of Mitrovica, Vushtrri, Drenas, and Skenderaj. Organized by USAID’s Inclusive Economic Engagement Activity, entrepreneurs voiced their challenges and concerns while also learning about the support mechanisms available from local governance for women’s entrepreneurship.
Amidst discussions, participants identified key recommendations aimed at enhancing the business environment for women-owned Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). Additionally, the event touched upon the advantages of the Inclusive Platform for Women’s Entrepreneurship, emphasizing the need for broader participation from all regions.
This meeting shows progress towards fostering an inclusive ecosystem for women entrepreneurs, where their voices are heard, and their contributions are recognized and supported. With collaborative efforts between entrepreneurs and local authorities, the path toward greater inclusivity in the entrepreneurial landscape of the region looks promising.
