E-Café’s Seventh Edition Spurs Collaborative Efforts to Enhance Access to Finance in Kosovo

Prishtine, 3 August, 2023 – The seventh edition of E-Café, a pioneering event aimed at fostering collaboration between financial institutions and women and minority-owned Micro, Small, and Medium-sized Enterprises (MSMEs), concluded successfully after gathering 20 participants. This edition focused on addressing the pressing issue of enhancing access to finance for MSMEs in Kosovo. Diverse voices from financial institutions and MSMEs were welcomed at the event as participants delved into strategies to overcome the challenges hindering financial access in the region. Spokespersons from well-known financial institutions stepped forward to present their initiatives and actions aimed at enhancing the ways small businesses can access financial support. Simultaneously, women and minority-owned MSMEs shared their real-world experiences, highlighting the challenges they encounter when seeking funding.

In a dynamic and interactive exchange, participants examined a range of potential solutions to bridge the gap in financial inclusion. Among the strategies discussed was the notion of bolstering training and education for women and minority-owned MSMEs to equip them with the skills necessary to navigate the complex landscape of funding acquisition. By empowering these entrepreneurs with knowledge and know-how, the aim is to level the playing field and facilitate their access to vital financial resources. Furthermore, the event’s discourse pivoted towards innovative product and service development tailored specifically to the unique needs of MSMEs. As these enterprises contribute to Kosovo’s economy, addressing their unique needs with tailor-made financial solutions holds the promise of generating a profound impact on their growth and sustainability.
