Signing Memorandum of Understanding with Vushtrri/Vučitrn Municipality

Vushtrri/Vučitrn, April 29, 2015 – USAID/Kosovo Director James Hope and the Mayor of Vushtrri/Vučitrn Bajram Mulaku signed the Memoranda of Understanding outlining the commitment for partnership in implementation of Advancing Kosovo Together.

USAID Advancing Kosovo Together program consists of two components – one implemented by Chemonics Int. and the other referred to as USAID Advancing Kosovo Together – Local Solution implemented by Community Development Fund (CDF) in partnership with AKTIV, Center for Peace and Tolerance (CPT) and Kosovo Relief & Development (KRD).

USAID through AKT-US will invest $79,428 for small infrastructure projects, civil society grants, and business grants in Vushtrri/Vučitrn by the end of 2015. USAID through Advancing Kosovo Together-Local Solution will invest up to $100,000 in an infrastructure project, in addition to support for micro, small and medium enterprises, and civil society organizations.
